226 Awarded Certificates

September 2015

With projectcoming to an end the certificates were awarded in partner countries. In total 226 candidates were successful and have received a certificate in Food Safety. Feedback from candidates  was very positive and the new dates for certification were set. In addition interest in new module Allergens and Intolerants was raised and LUV plans the first pilots in January 2016. 

Final meeting in Lodz, Poland

September 15, 2015

In September 2015 final THESS meeting took place in Lodz. Partners reviewed their work and agreed on final steps. Sustainability was the main topic, as all partners wish to continue with certification trials. Additional module Allergens and Intolerants was presented and plans were made for first piloting. With project ending all partners agreed that the system was well accepted in partner countries, especially in Slovenia and Turkey. 

Project Meeting in Hull, UK

April 16-17, 2015

The fourth project meeting took place in Hull and was hosted by UK partner ASA. Main topic was certification trials and e-learning resources. Partners previously agreed on Food safety as pilot module and supprting materials were researched. In addition focus was on dissemination and how to ensure project sustainabilty. 

3rd project meeting in Netherlands

October 7-8, 2014

The third project meeting took place in Burgh-Haamstede in Netherlands. Partners focused on feedback from Market research report and on differences between partner countries regarding educational sector and national qualification frameworks. The decision was made that EQF level 2 is the most appropriate one and several modules were considered, including Food Safety. 

Assessor Training in Istanbul, Turkey

April 15-16, 2014

In April 2014 the partners met for the second time. The meeting took place in Istanbul. The main purpose of the meeting was to train the assessors (THESS moderators) who would later on work with students and be responsible for the certification trials. During the 2-day training 7 assessors were trained. Partners also discussed next steps within the project and evaluated past activities. Meeting was hosted by the Turkish partner KOTML. 

Kick-off Meeting in Velenje, Slovenia

December 9-10, 2013

In December 2013 the first project meeting took place in Velenje. The purpose of the meeting was for partners to get to know each other, to establish a solid ground for future work and to set the work plan for the next following months. Meeting was hosted by project coordinator LUV.
